Pastor Matthias Kunze

Since 1st of August 2009 I have been the pastor of the German Lutheran Trinity Church Melbourne.

Prior to that, I worked as a pastor in Dresden in Germany for 10 years, and in the 90's I worked in Scotland for 7 years.                                                                                            

Our parish is a colorful mix of immigrants who arrived in the 50s, employees of German companies who typically stay for a couple of years, and a great influx of young Germans who chose Melbourne to be their new home.

For all of them we are a home away from home. German is our first language.

Our church is located in the heart of Melbourne and offers easy access to our diverse parish activities. Activities are

offered for people of all ages and range from toddlers' group, childerns' movie afternoons, childrens' bible study days, to conversation groups, seniors' group and an arts & crafts group. We invite you for movie nights and discussion sessions and, of course, we invite you to our Sunday services. Once a month a service is held in English. After each service we meet for coffee, tea and a bite to eat in the church hall, which is a very nice and easy way of getting to know each other.                                                                                                                                       

I live together with my family in the pastoral home next to the church. You are very welcome to pop in for a chat.
