Whether you came to Melbourne on a three-year contract or you imigrated to Australia for good - the German Lutheran Trinity Church will offer you a spiritual and cultural home.

On this website you will get an initial impression of our lively congregation, one that includes people with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. You, too, are welcome to join us as who you are with your own story and personality.

You might like to join us for a Sunday Service? Or you might like to come to one of our events? No matter whether you want to get involved sporadically or regularly, or if you simply want to come along and enjoy: You will be a wonderful addition to our colorful congregation! We have been surprised many times by the different talents that people have discovered here and that enriched their lives from then onwards.

Unlike in Germany, you are not automatically a member of our congregation. Like all religious institutions in Australia, our congregation is fully independent from the government and receives no support by the tax system. The church relies upon the individuals in its congregation who can decide to become members, as in most societies and clubs. Without the regular membership fees and donations we would have to close down our church within a short time and the pastor and his family would have to return to Germany. Hence, it would be great if you, too, would decide to become a member!

The formalities are easy: Simply talk to either Pastor Kunze or one of the church elders after the service who are happy answer your remaining questions about our congregation. Or contact Pastor Kunze via telephone or email. He is happy to visit you to answer your questions. They will give you a membership form that you need to fill in to apply for membership through the elders committee.

It is up to you to decide about your annual contribution. Many chose to donate 1% of their annual income.
