New to our parish?Welcome! We are a very lively and open-minded congregation. We hope that you will soon feel you are a part of us. Every week, after the service, we have coffee together in our church hall where you can meet new people. The aim of our congregation is to live in a spirit of community based on our shared faith in Jesus Christ. This community is formed of many German speakers who live here permanently or temporarily, and also welcomes their English-speaking partners and families. In our congregation there are people of all ages and interests. Amongst our groups you will most likely find one that suits your interests. If you have little children, you could come to the Playgroup on Wednesday mornings, or to the Toddler Group on Thursday mornings. Children's services take place every Sunday parallel to the service. Teens can join the Youth Group or come to the confirmation classes where they can meet German-speaking peers. You can find more information here and in the family newsletter. Senior people are invited to come to the Seniors' Group. A weekly varying program of entertainments is followed by an hour of chatting over coffee and cake. The English Bible Study Group invites you to come and talk about biblical texts and our faith. In the Home Group we meet to talk about God and the world, which includes ourselves and all the "baggage" that we are carrying with us. In the Craft Group we create the most beautiful cards, candles and textile articles over a nice conversation. If you enjoy singing, you are welcome to join the Church Choir. If you are interested in history, you can join the Committee for Church History. They are in charge of the church's archive and offer a lot of information and ideas on the history of both this congregation and the church in general. You have found a home away from home in the heart of Melbourne!
